I am a practicing Immigration Attorney and I recently earned my doctorate in law and policy from Northeastern University. Pursuit of my doctoral degree assisted me in gaining the skills and knowledge I will need to work to improve the current immigration laws and policies in the United States and share those lessons with immigration policy makers in other countries.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University. A Juris Doctor from Arizona Summit Law School. A Master of Laws in International Law from University of San Diego Law School and a second Master of Laws in International Business and Human Rights from Northeastern University School of Law. I have two published articles. One entitled Improving Legal Rights for Transgender Youth and a second published writing on The Right to Water in the United States drafted as a memo for the then Special Rapporteur of Human Rights for the United Nations.
I hold two U.S. Embassy badges in recognition for my work with human rights efforts for the U.S. Embassy in Lebanon and U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia. I am also a Fellow for the Program on Human Rights and the Global Economy (PHRGE). As a PHRGE Fellow, I joined a growing group of outstanding advocates with a deep interest in human rights who are exploring various theories concerning critical race, constitutional jurisprudence, and analysis of social change in their quest to seek understanding and solutions so that we may make a difference in the world at large.
I have studied, worked and lived in Paris, France; London, England; New Delhi, India; Shenzhen, China and Mexico City, Mexico. I have studied Mandarin and hope to resume lessons again so I can become fluent in this language. I love to travel and have a great appreciation for the history, culture and food in the places I visit. I also really love great wine and I love to cook and entertain at my home.
